Cognition’s band of brave football warriors went into battle again in another client charity football tournament in late July. This time the event was organised by our friends at Cala Homes and all money raised went to the Samaritans.
The Cognition team included Jake Johnston, Conor Farrell, Lincoln Gradini, Mark Hosking, Eric Brahilika, Alvaro Brahilika and Andi Brahilika. Playing out of their socks, Cognition topped their group by winning two out of their three games and drawing the other. Into the knock-out stage and Cognition won their quarter final 3 - 2 and were into the semis. In their semi, they went 2 - 1 up but, despite a great effort from all, were unable to hold on and unfortunately conceded two late goals to lose 3 - 2, finishing 3rd overall in the tournament.
Many thanks to all at Cala Homes for organising the event and for making it such an enjoyable day.
