Cognition’s site at the former Pirbright Institute gained an impressive 44/45 total score on a recent Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) Audit. Our Compton site involves a complex scope of works including the demolition of 62 buildings and the remediation of radiologically and biologically contaminated land.
Whilst dealing with the challenges of this project, our impressive team of hard workers were able to successfully maintain a high standard of respect for the community, excellent care for the environment, and displayed a strong duty of care for our workforce.
Our Technical Director, Andy O’Dea said, “This is a fantastic result for the project, and all involved. The CCS audit report demonstrates the successful implementation of the wide range of measures we have put in place to complete the works effectively and efficiently with careful consideration of potential impacts on the local community and the environment. It is also a clear acknowledgement of our performance in terms of health, safety and wellbeing. Well done to all the team!”
