In line with Cognition’s strong performance in 2019 and our healthy order book for the year ahead, Cognition Land and Water has trebled our space at Harwell Innovation Centre. We now have nine desks, a large meeting room, store room and break-out area, which doubles our office capacity and greatly improves on space and facilities we offer our staff and clients at this location. Being within the Harwell Campus gives us and our visitors access to excellent onsite facilities such as cafes, shops, a brand new gym, tennis courts, public transport, parking and lots of other facilities begin part of the Harwell Campus community, which is home to organisations, institutions and businesses shaping the world of today and tomorrow. You can learn more about the ambitious expansion plans at the 700 acre Harwell Campus here.
Our presence at Harwell began three years ago when we won a commission with Magnox to decommission and remediate the former Liquid Effluent Treatment Plant (LETP) adjacent to the current Harwell Campus. This work is nearing completion but he are hopeful of further commissions with Magnox and other clients in the nuclear decommissioning sector in the region and more widely across the UK. You can find out more about our nuclear decommissioning work at Harwell here.
