Report from the driver:
'Mixed emotions in mixed conditions
Qualifying on Saturday was tricky for everyone, as it started dry but there was a huge cloud on it’s way so, we all only got opportunity to put a lap in. Unfortunately, I didn’t quite maximise my package and ended the run in P4. The rain then came down so we used the rest of the session to dial in some wet settings!
Race 1 on Sunday was dry and Knockhill is very difficult to overtake so as I got a good start we headed down towards Duffus Dip for the first time, I made a move to the outside for P3 but couldn’t quite make it work so had to slot back in line for the Chicane. The pace then from 2nd to 5th was very consistent so never really had a good opportunity to make a move and finished in P4.
Race 2 started wet to a quickly drying track! We were comfortably sitting in 2nd and waiting for our chance to make a bid for the lead, when unfortunately another car in the train went for a big lunge into turn 1 went off the track, as he re-joined pushed me onto the wet grass and from there I was a passenger into the gravel… thankfully I managed to get the car out of the gravel and recover to 6th minus a front splitter!
In all we showed fantastic pace and once again enough to win, but it’s frustrating when you have to avoid someone else’s accident.
We move to Donington Park in two week’s time!
Massive thank you to everyone for the support this weekend, we’ll be back and stronger than ever!'
