Cognition Graduates Compete in AGS Early Careers Sustainability Competition

3 May 2024

21 early career professionals, from across 18 different companies, participated in the AGS Early Careers Sustainability Poster Competition.

Entrants were tasked with creating a sustainability-themed poster that explored how sustainable practices are implemented in the workplace, with the aim of inspiring businesses to become more sustainable. They were judged and showcased at the AGS Annual Conference, on 25th April, with 230+ attendees viewing them. Two Environmental Scientist graduates from Cognition Land and Water, Alfie Davison and George Wilson, submitted posters for this competition. Unfortunately, they did not win, but they were successful in creating some great posters detailing how Cognition implements sustainable practices throughout our business. You can see those posters in the images displayed here.

Our two entrants have also shared what they enjoyed about the experience:

"It was fantastic to be part of the poster competition, exploring how Cognition achieves carbon neutrality, while also learning new strategies from other companies at the AGS on how to become more sustainable." – Alfie Davison

‘It was a great opportunity to work with a wider range of people across the company to delve deeper into how the CLW strives to be sustainable. I learnt a lot of new strategies from other candidate’s posters which could definitely be used within CLW’ - George Wilson

Well done to both Alfie and George for the hard work you put into these posters!
