St James West London are hosting a charity bike ride on Saturday 6th July, raising funds for West Youth Zone. This is the 7th themed ride they have organised, and the theme of this iteration of the event is ‘The Pier Ride’. Participants will be riding from Tower Bridge Pier to Clacton On Sea Pier, a length of 130km, starting at 8am.
The beneficiary of the funds raised, West Youth Zone, is a brand-new state of the art youth club on White City Estate offering various activities for West London’s young people aged 8 – 19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs. The facility can hold 200 young people participating in over 20 activities every evening, weekend and during the school holidays. The funds raised will go towards supporting the everyday costs of running the West Youth Zone facility enabling the organisation to continue providing young people with a wealth of activities.
Having contributed to the St James West London Charity Bike Ride in past years (shown in the photos here), Cognition is proud to be back at it again this year. We will be both donating to the cause and participating in the bike ride, with multiple employees volunteering to participate. Cognition is deeply committed to social value activities that will enable us to effectively support the communities in which we work. This bike ride will provide us with another great opportunity to actualise this commitment.
We look forward to this challenging yet rewarding day!
