Far from becoming simpler and more efficient, the regeneration of complex brownfield site such as historical infilled land is becoming more challenging.  Strict regulatory control, a lack of understanding of the issues, conflicting guidance and opinion, misplaced fear of what can be safely achieved, and impairment of the effectiveness some of our most tried and tested delivery tools are all contributory factors.  Andy will explore the issues around this topic, some of the challenges the industry faces, and will present some food for thought on a way forward - all with plenty of relevant case studies.
