It has been a complex and challenging project as the site was formerly an animal research facility, which brought with it many challenges including numerous ecological constraints.

Our enabling works contract included the demolition of 65 buildings, radiological/ biological/ chemical contamination remediation, ground clearance and improvement, and construction of the development platform for the proposed residential development.

To celebrate the completion of the site works on the project, the whole technical, management and site team headed out to the local pub for some well-deserved pints and grub! We had a great turnout with over 20 of the team present. Thanks to The Swan at Compton for putting on a great spread. It was also nice to meet with and discuss the project with some of the locals on the night. They were pleased to hear that the works had been completed successfully and on time, and that the site is now fully remediated and ready for redevelopment and bringing back into beneficial use.
