Works on the 2.4 hectare site, formerly a garden nursery, commenced in October 2024. The scope of works will include the demolition of existing outbuildings and glasshouses, clearance of vegetation under ecological watching brief, and removal of asbestos and other historic contamination. The development land will then be prepared with cut to fill earthworks to create development plots and prepare new road foundations with soil stabilisation and placement of class 6 capping. Cognition will be working under their Mobile Plant Permit and a DoWCoP Materials Management Plan. Once enabling works are completed, Elivia Homes will develop the site with 74 new homes.
