This award recognises an individual’s exceptional career - and legacies - in the field of construction and infrastructure. Our technical director, Andy O’Dea, is among the finalists in this category for his amazing contributions to brownfield regeneration over the past 30 years.

During his time at Cognition, Andy has contributed his expertise across the whole project life cycle from business development and project viability, through to tendering, value engineering, regulatory compliance, project delivery, and supporting clients at all stages. He has introduced a wide range of programmes and initiatives, including Cognition’s Lunch & Learn technical briefings and helping to formalise Cognition’s Social Value Strategy. As an active member of industry organisations and professional bodies, he has been instrumental in keeping the Cognition team abreast of new developments and best practices.
