Cognition Land and Water’s Technical Director, Andy O’Dea, and Environmental and Sustainability Manager, Tomaz Vernick, attended the prestigious International Green Apple Environment Awarding Ceremony on 18th November at Kensington Palace, London.
The annual international campaign recognises, rewards and promotes environmental best practice around the world.
Cognition is thrilled to announce that we have won the following apple awards in the Civil Engineering category:
· A National Gold Award for carbon reduction for our Barking Power Station Gas Pipeline Decommissioning Project (on behalf of our client City of London Corporation)
· A National Silver Award for land regeneration for our Compton Regeneration Project (on behalf of our client Homes England)
· A National Bronze Award for waste management for our Edmonton Marshes Fly-Tipped Waste Removal Project (on behalf of our client Taylor Woodrow)
We also received a highly commended certificate for our Queenborough & Rushenden Regeneration Project (on behalf of our client Homes England) recognising it as a ‘National Environmental Project’.
Cognition is so proud to accept these awards as we pride ourselves on being a zero carbon, environmentally conscious company with a deep focus on the sustainability of our work. We will strive to continue and better our sustainable practices, actioning our commitment to environmental stewardship.
