Cognition Proudly Participated in the 'BEE interviewed' Programme

12 December 2024

On Tuesday 10th December, Cognition’s Areeb Khan and Aaliyah Brown Murphy volunteered to participate in Business Education Event’s 'BEE interviewed' programme at Finchley Catholic High School.

With a host of other volunteers from different fields, our delegates took on the role of ‘employer’ in a mock interview session with Year 11 students. The aim of the exercise was to help the students develop their employability skills, gain interview experience, and build their confidence. The students received feedback on how they performed in the mock interview, with advice on how they can improve their performance in the future.

There was also a ‘networking’ event to finish off the day. The volunteers were separated into their respective industries, from finance and marketing to construction and transport. The students then had the opportunity to ask any questions they had about careers in industries of interest.

It was a real pleasure to have contributed to this event; the students were really bright and engaged. They showed real curiosity about the interview process and asked many questions about our careers. We wish them all the best of luck in their future endeavours!

Thank you to the event managers Karen O’Connor and Claire Wynnick for planning this amazing event!
