Cognition’s Contribution to the St James Charity Ride 2025

6 May 2025

Cognition Land and Water will be supporting this year’s annual St James’ charity cycling event, ‘Le Grande Tour de St James’, taking place from Thursday 17th July to Sunday 20th July. Participants will ride 296km from London to Paris to raise funds for St James’ charity partner, West Youth Zone, a purpose-built space for West London’s young people offering 20+ activities each session ranging from sports, climbing, and media, to skating, drama, and music production.

In support of this great cause, Cognition will be contributing upwards of £4,700 to the event. Additionally, we will be putting forward a champion to tackle this challenge. Our technical director, Andy O’Dea, will be taking part in the bike ride, having participated as Cognition’s delegate in previous years (please see below some photos from past years). Join us in wishing him the best of luck as he takes on this exciting challenge. If anyone wishes to sponsor Andy, please contact us at enquiries@cognitionltd.com.

We are very proud to be able to support this event; thank you to St James for organising!

Cognition has got a highly anticipated charity event of our own in the works: the Carbon Neutral from London to Paris challenge! Participants will travel from London to Paris using sustainable, carbon-neutral transport methods—cycling, walking, running or rowing/kayaking. The events’ purpose is to raise funds in support of The Lily Foundation, a leading UK charity dedicated to fighting mitochondrial disease. It will take place between 4th - 8th September 2025 and is open to all, so we encourage everyone to get involved!
