On 11 December 2020, our project team at Newbury Gas Works completed the final concrete pour for the groundworks and reinforced concrete frame contract. The concrete frame has been completed almost five months ahead of programme! This is a fantastic achievement for Cognition Land and Water and our Client, and has been a success through the professionalism and commitment of all those involved.
Prior to the construction of the superstructure, Cognition completed the ground and groundwater remediation, groundworks and enabling works for the project. Our continued involvement in the project through to the above-ground civils and structures elements was realised through the relationship our earlier team built with the Client and the quality and performance of our delivery of the remediation contract.
In addition, this project is a great example of what we can achieve in terms of the health and safety of our workforce through robust site management procedures, strict procurement processes and continuous training and development. No incidents or accidents were recorded at any stage of the project, an achievement of which we are immensely proud.
Well done to all involved - truly a team effort!
Further details of the project are in an earlier news article. If you would like to discuss how we can bring this level of performance and professionalism to your project, please contact Carl Sharman at carl.sharman@cognitionltd.com.
